The Gift of Presence: A Journey of Gratitude and Transformation

Alexandra Klinke

Dear friends, clients, and fellow travelers on this journey of life,

Today, I want to take a moment to share my deep sense of gratitude. Over the past months and years, I have been on a personal journey of self-discovery, growth, and transformation. This journey has led me to a profound realization: the power of presence, peace, and joy. I’ve learned that it’s possible to cultivate an inner state of calm, no matter what storms may rage in the world around me or in my own life. And for that, I am incredibly grateful.

This hasn’t been an easy path. It has challenged me deeply, forcing me to confront parts of myself and my life that were out of balance. But through this process, I’ve come to understand that by nurturing a peaceful inner state, we can make decisions from a place of clarity and strength. This has become one of the most valuable gifts I can offer to others—helping them find their own sense of presence and guiding them towards their next step, no matter where they are on their path.

A Bouquet of Life and Practices

My private and professional life have become, in many ways, like a colorful bouquet of flowers—each one representing different aspects of life, different practices, and exercises that invite us all into that state of presence. Whether it’s through my individual work, or in collaboration with my dear friend and business partner Julia at Wonderland Vision, everything I do is an invitation for you to explore what you may want to transform in your own life.

Together, we co-create not only projects and offerings but also spaces for practice and living in presence—initiatives that go beyond what we offer as products or services. We do this because we truly believe in prioritizing presence, in focusing on what we want to see more of in life. And through this, we hope to encourage you to do the same. We invite you to experience how this focus can transform not only your life but the world around you.

The Power of Attention: Your Most Precious Resource

The key lesson I’ve learned and now share is this: the most important thing we can do is guide our attention. Where we place our focus determines what becomes more abundant in our lives. As the spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle once said, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.” This quote resonates deeply with me because it speaks to the heart of presence, and how the quality of our lives is shaped by where we direct our awareness.

Our attention is the single most powerful tool we have—not only as individuals but as a community. When we focus on what we truly want to cultivate—whether it’s health, joy, peace, or connection—those things begin to grow. When we begin with ourselves, we start a ripple effect that touches everyone around us. It’s only through this inner shift that we can truly create the change we want to see in the world.

Cultivating Joy and Health, Even in Darkness

Now more than ever, as we navigate uncertain times, it’s vital to practice presence. This is not just a philosophy but a lifeline—helping us to stay healthy, joyful, and resilient, even in moments of darkness. In a world where loneliness is rising, especially among certain age groups, it’s more important than ever to connect to ourselves and to one another.

In fact, according to a report from the National Institute on Aging, loneliness and social isolation can have the same impact on health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and even premature death. This issue affects every generation, but it’s especially acute among older adults and young people. Studies show that over 40% of adults in the U.S. report feeling lonely, and this number is rising with each passing year.

But here’s the thing: when we practice guiding our attention towards connection, presence, and joy, we take steps toward healing this epidemic of loneliness—not just for ourselves, but for those around us.

A Call to Practice and Co-create Together

That’s why I invite you to explore this practice with me and with each other. Whether it’s through our work at Wonderland Vision or simply in your daily life, take time to consciously guide your attention towards what truly matters to you. If you feel called to explore this further, you can find more about what Julia and I are co-creating at www.wonderlandvision.com.

Together, let’s start more conversations about what helps us stay healthy and joyful. Let’s share practices that help us see light even in difficult times. As Mahatma Gandhi so wisely put it, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” This change begins with how we guide our focus, our attention, and ultimately, our actions.

In gratitude and with love,
Alexandra

By guiding our attention with care, we open ourselves to joy, connection, and transformation. Let’s make this practice the most important part of our lives.
